Welcome to Kinnikinnick farm!

"Hey everybody!"  "Look it's Farmer David!"  "Time for morning chores!"  On July 7th,  my family and I went on a trip to Kinnikinnick Farm.  It is in Caledonia,  IL.  You get to stay in a tent cottage thingy ma bob!  There is one master bedroom,  one bunkbed,  and a closet bedroom for two people.  You get to do morning and afternoon chores: feed the pigs, feed the chickens, collect the eggs, milk the goats, brush the donkeys, etc.

On Tuesday, some baby chicks came.  They were just one day old!  They felt like a fluffy ball of fur.  We had to teach them how to drink water before putting them in their homes.  Have you ever held a baby chick?

  3. Love your blog! So glad that you were able to have fun at the farm, without a tornado, this year! I have collected eggs and held a chicken when I was little, on my Gran's farm, but I don't remember ever holding a baby chick! I love all your photos and and I can see by your smiles that you had lots of fun! XXXX
